Fondazione LINKS is a non-profit private organization established in 2018 to close the gap between research and business. As a research institution, we collaborate with several national and international research centers, universities and enterprises on several projects across various application fields, focusing on AI, Earth Observation, and navigation technologies.

Our technical expertise includes AI solutions applied to Earth Observation (wildfire/flood delineation) and aerial imagery, as well as Satellite Navigation technologies (GNSS, Galileo). SAFERS, SHELTER and FASTER represent some of our latest projects.

CBK PAN is the leading institution for UAV, satellite and geoinformatic support for civil protection authorities in Poland. It provides operational support for crisis management structures and conducts R&D activities based on its insight into user needs in this field, specializing in optimisation of information flow between technology providers and security end-users.

On the basis of its previous experience in developing new information products to support situational awareness during crisis events, as well as testing usability of new, pre-operational technical solutions during exercises and demonstrations, CIK will lead the Human-centered design activities (functional requirements, use cases), participate in the development of OVERWATCH system and organize its practical demonstration in Poland. DRIVER+, SAT4ENVI, USeEO and Collaris are the latest projects that we have taken part.

Inesctec is a private, non-profit association dedicated to scientific research and technological development, technology transfer, advanced consulting and training, and preincubation of new technology-based companies. We work between the academic and business worlds, bringing academia, companies, public administration, and society together.

Through “managed science” model, we leverage the knowledge and results as part of research, in technology transfer projects, seeking impact both through value creation and social relevance. In OVERWATCH we will handle the development of the fallback communication system. UNEXMIN, SUNNY and FIRELOGUE are some of the projects that we took part lately.

Cinamil is the Portuguese Military Academy Research Centre, coordinates research and technological development (RTD) activities for the Portuguese Army and the Republican National Guard. The Centre acts as an aggregator of defence and security competencies and skills for its primary stakeholders and as a facilitator of capabilities provided by Army Units, Laboratories, Practical Schools, and the Army Geospatial Information Centre.

CINAMIL will be leading the task related with the demonstrations and will be the PT demonstration enabler, and with the definition of the end-users requirements as well as participating in the mapping module development (WP2), while providing also their insight on management systems in WP3.
